infectious disease researchers,

old folks lined up for meals on wheels,

vets huddled without homes in the ptsd cold,

each pre-pubescent Prometheus

bringing fire without fire trucks,

to retake America,

first you’ve got to break it,

while deported dreamers

waking into a nightmare,

the whole country again become a cotton field,

and the question of who’s left to pick it.
